Southwest University of Politics And Law Awards Certificate of Appreciation to JLPW Chinese Law Internship Program In Chongqing, China

Since 2016, our law firm in Malaysia has been training Chinese law interns from Southwest University of Politics and Law (SWUPL) in Chongqing, China. The Chinese law interns spend 3 months in our offices in Malaysia and visit other regional offices and affiliates in Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and India.

In an appreciation ceremony on 22 March 2019, SWUPL awarded our firm and other internship program supporting firms in Malaysia and Singapore with certificates of appreciation.

Teaching the Chinese law interns is both a heavy responsibility and a rewarding experience. We need to apply for professional visit visas and issue personal guarantees for them to comply with Malaysian immigration laws and support them with living expenses.

Due to the expenses incurred, our law firm could only accept 3 law interns from SWUPL every year.

The JLPW Law Internship Program is an excellent way for training Chinese legal talents to support Chinese Go Out Companies as they venture abroad.

It is hoped that with more financial support for the Chinese students from the university and Chinese Go Out Companies, we will be able to accept more Chinese law interns into our JLPW Law Internship Program which has trained some 160 law interns over the past 10 years.
